U.S. Retail Sales fell by 0.3% (month-over-month) in October to $411.6 billion. The decline was due in part to Hurricane Sandy as sales at motor vehicle & parts dealers fell by 1.5%. Building materials and garden equipment sales dropped by 1.9%. Year-over-year, retail sales rose by 3.8%. September retail sales were revised from a gain of 1.1% to a gain of 1.3%.
